He obtained his first degree in veterinary medicine in Sarajevo, Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1996 he decided to migrate to Australia to further his professional career.
Soon after arriving he completed a Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland. In 2004 Jarko secured a postgraduate course in feline medicine. Then in 2007, after rigorous examinations, he obtained a Membership in Small Animal Medicine (MACVS).
Jarko's special interests are canine and feline internal medicine. In his spare time, he is busy with his young family and tries to find time to pursue some fishing and cooking.
Dr Nicole Burke
Dr Nicole was born and raised in Adelaide and joined the Vets4Pets team in 2015 after graduating from the University of Adelaide. Dr Caroline O’Connell BVSc.(Hons), BEnvSc.(Hons)
Caroline is an Adelaide local having grown up in the Adelaide Hills. Working with wombats during the honours year of an environmental science degree, spurred a interest to study veterinary science and she graduated from Massy University in New Zealand in 2008. She started out working in mixed animal practice in Clare before working at Vets4Pets for two years. Since leaving our practice in 2012 she worked and traveled in the UK and then worked in the large animal teaching facility at Adelaide University Vet School at Roseworthy. She has a keen interest in canine internal medicine and wildlife medicine.
Caroline has twin daughters, a GSP and a Labrador, so in the little spare time she has for herself she enjoys gardening, bush walking and catching up with friends.
Dr Alexander Sexton B.Sc(Vet BioSc) DVM
Dr Alexander Sexton grew up on a farm near Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. He has always cared for animals. Alex graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2016 and joined the Vets4Pets team in January 2017.
