The Salisbury Park Vet Team

Dr Trevor Rickman

Dr Rickman started his career in 1975 in a small animal, horse and cattle vet practice before accepting an appointment as Head Surgeon of the RSPCA Animal Hospital in Perth. Since joining Vets4Pets in 1978, he has developed further expertise in feline and canine cardiology, as well as a special interest in caged birds, aquarium fish, turtles and other non-venomous reptiles.

Trevor is known to enjoy a challenge, which means the Salisbury Park waiting room is often filled with unusual cases. Patients can include a tropical fish with a skin complaint, a turtle with a damaged shell, a bird with a broken wing or a python with a sore throat.

Outside work Trevor has engaged in research projects for SA Fisheries, enjoys following the Crows and has a keen interest in classic cars and motorcycles. He is also a regular steward and show judge of Aquarium fish at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Dr Hannah Smith B.V.Sc -Vet & Hospital Manager

Hannah moved to Australia with her family in 2005 and attended Melbourne University, graduating in 2011. She returned to South Australia and worked in mixed practise for 3 years before the call of small animals brought her closer to Adelaide; Hannah love the sense of achievement that comes with treating peoples much loved pets.

In her spare time she enjoy dancing, spending time with her family and friends and doting on her own fur-baby - an extremely fluffy and attitude-filled cat called Rowan!

What our clients say about Vets4Pets

I just wanted to say a big thank you so much for the staff and vets at Golden Grove and at Ridgehaven for everything they did for Qui Gon and for us while he was unwell.

You gave us appointments at short notice and even went out of your way to give us immediate appointments and made sure you got Qui Gon to see your amazing bunny doctors every time. You took such great care of Qui Gon and gave him wonderful care, you showed a lot of care towards him and us with his ongoing issues and when we had to make that awful decision to say goodbye you were honest about his prognosis and for that we are very grateful.

We were so impressed with how your practice has embraced bunnies and we will continue to bring our bunnies to you and feel happy and confident that you are exactly where we need to be. Thanks again, we miss Qui Gon so much, he was out big beautiful baby and it’s been hard we miss him so much.
-The T family
